The default username is "Admin" and the password is blank.

Where is the error log located?
The default location of the error log is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WebBrix\AMTErrorlog.txt
You can change this location by modifying the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AMT\Install\AMTErrorLogPath

Why can't I open the Cardset Configuration utility ?
This is a known issue with WebBrix 2.8.0. In order to run this utility, you must be log into the computer as the same user that was assigned to run the services.

I don't see any controllers in the list of available hardware to discover...
This could be caused by numerous things. Here are some things to check.
| • | Is the controllers Host IP property set to the IP address of the target Hardware Server? |
| • | Is the controllers HereIAm property set to something greater than 0? (we recommend 30 seconds) |
| • | Is a firewall blocking communication between the hardware and the PC? (ports 4050 and 4070) |

What are "Conditions" and how do I use them?
"Conditions" are placeholders for a future feature of WebBrix.

How do I change a controllers time zone after discovery?
To change the time zone of a controller after the initial discovery, direct database access is required. In the controllers table of the Gateway database, there is a field named GMTOffset.

Does WebBrix require IIS to be installed?
IIS is highly recommended, but not required. If the install is started and IIS isn't installed, the install will offer to install Cassini. Cassini is a lightweight web server and is limited to local hosting only.

Which operating systems does WebBrix support?

What happens when the grace period expires?
The system will continue to function but the software will continually open a "nag" window, reminding the user to license the software.

When I have a valid card read why does my door unlock and lock instantaneously?
It's likely the door monitor switch is wired backwards. To fix tihs, reverse the wires or change the door monitor behavior for that reader in the software.

When I start the software I receive a message box telling me the software is running in grace period. What does this mean?
When you have exceeded the capacity for a given feature, the grace period notification will appear. For new installs, there is a 14 day grace period.

What does the term "grace period" refer to?
The amount of time the system can run after it has exceeded its licensed capacity.

Yes, WebBrix does require IIS to be enabled

The door monitor switch is wired backwards. Reverse the wires or change the position setting in the WebBrix.software.

The controller time is not correct?
There's a GMT offset field in the controllers table that takes care of this(CST would be -6 hours from the GMT and the field is in minutes, so the value would be -360) The WebBrix updates the controllers time once every hour on the 1/2 hour(1:30, 2:30, 3:30, etc...)

What does the Terminal EOL Resistor jumper do on a V1000?
This resistor setting aids in the overall communication efficiency of the ports for the V1000. In order to increase communication efficiency the resistor jumper should be set to "In" if there are no devices using that port.

The dial is used for unique addressing for each individual panel on a multi-drop RS-485 port.

What does the Terminal Resistor jumper do on a V100, V200, V300?
The Terminal Resistor jumper is set to the “Out” position on all panels with the exception of the last one on the RS 485 multi-drop. The last panel on this drop should be set to the “In”.
