Configuring VertX for WebBrix

Print Top  Previous  Next

“Out of the box” WebBrix will communicate with HID VertX controllers, but in order for the software and hardware to behave as desired, it’s essential you modify some of the controllers properties.  All VertX controllers come with a built-in web interface.  You can access this interface by browsing to the IP address of the controller via your web browser.  The default IP address for every HID controller is 10.19.4.129.

You’ll be prompted to enter a username and password.  The defaults are .  Once logged in, you’ll be at the Basic Setup page.  This page allows you to define the controller’s network configuration.  The two properties that are crucial to WebBrix are the CS/Host addressing and the Here I Am Interval.

The CS/Host IP address should be the IP address (or the name) of the Hardware Server of your WebBrix system.  The Here I Am Interval should be set to something other than 0.  AMT recommends 30.

The other properties that need to be modified reside in files on board the controller.  You can get to these files by browsing to the “Developer” section of the controllers interface.
